Please accept our sincere gratitude for the generous $500 donation made to our agency. Your support of our agency is validation that you believe in our services to the homeless. As you are well aware, funding and donations have been very limited during the past few years, we are very grateful for your support. The Crisis House serves the neediest of the community by providing 30 days of shelter and three meals every day. Our staff works endlessly to coordinate health care services, mental health services and housing needs for all that come through our doors. Once again, thank you for your support.

Special thanks to Sussex Strong for their recent donation of $5000 to Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. Their on-going support of our organization is a prime example of our mission to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope. Sussex Strong has been a generous partner to Sussex County Habitat for Humanities over the years. Their fundraising efforts have helped us provide a foundation for a duplex in Laurel, Delaware for two deserving families. And participants in volunteer build days have always been most productive. It is a pleasure to partner with a dedicated organization with the outreach capabilities that Sussex Strong has. SCAOR Community Service Foundation and Habitat for Humanity is a natural partnership; our goal is to assist as many low income families in Sussex County be able to have the dream of homeownership and purchase simple, decent and affordable housing to better their lives and provide a bright future for their children.

Things were looking pretty bleak for me, and I honestly don’t know how I would have made it without your help.” Your gift becomes a helping hand for Catholic Charities clients – our neighbors right here in Delaware and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. It provides a way to ease the bleakness of the crisis facing our client, be it spiritual, emotional, or financial, and lead them to a more stable future. Our 185-year legacy of caring service makes a positive impact in the lives of the more than 120,000 clients who come to us each year to help.
