Sussex Strong has just purchased bunk beds and mattresses for Immanuel Shelter, a cold weather shelter in Rehoboth Beach that serves men and women experiencing homelessness.
Immanuel Shelter expressed a need for bunk beds to accommodate their growing numbers as our area starts to experience more ‘Code Purple’ days and nights. Code Purple goes into effect when the temperatures reach below freezing. With the weather coming in this weekend, Code Purple shelters across all three counties in Delaware will experience increases in their numbers of men and women seeking warm shelter.
As this snow storm gets closer, keep the Shelter in your thoughts because they continue to need more bunk beds. We encourage you to donate your old bunk bed or purchase online for the Shelter. Shipping is free on this website.
